SENIOR VET NURSE

Viv has worked in the animal care industry for 34 years, the last 29 as a vet nurse with many yrs as head vet nurse. Demonstrating loyalty having worked for the same company at different locations for 31 years and ready to show that dedication to the new Rosebery Vet Hospital.

Viv enjoys many aspects of the job but primarily surgery and diagnostics. A clean and calm work place is her main aim. Always empathetic to the animals in her care and has learned to read what they feel and this has helped to individualise how she helps them.

Viv loves to organise and problem solve any situation, which makes emergencies and unforeseen circumstances the ideal challenges for her.

Family wise, she has two adult sons , 3 grandsons and one granddaughter, who are the joys of her world. She loves pottering in her garden and caring for her many pets. A bit of an online gamer on her down time and loves going to watch live bands.

When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Truck driver or lead singer in a rock band or both!

What’s your idea of a perfect long weekend getaway?

Rock festival or gig in Sydney. If none I stay home, no travelling I like to explore my own city , why do I need to go anywhere when I live here!

English and a little Italia

Are you a pet owner? What do you have?

A mini foxie dog “ Ripley” , a domestic short hair cat “ Gir” , one alexandrian parrot “buddy” , Six cockatiels no names , twelve budgies no names , seven quails no names, 19 goldfish. ( I have an aviary and a pond)

What’s your favourite season and why?

Spring ; cos my garden looks amazing and Halloween is on its way, and I get to go crazy with my decorations!

What is your favourite food of all time?

Cheese , just any kind of cheese

How do you like to relax and unwind after your workday?

Comfy clothes , online gaming.

If you could have dinner with anybody in the world from across history, who would it be and why?

John Lydon ( aka Johnny rotten) in a Coffee shop.

Alive or passed—and money no issue—which musician would you love to see perform live?

The who ( but in 1966 when they were young in London )

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

Ability to mute, snap fingers and silence.
