Dog and Cat Boarding

At Rosebery Veterinary Hospital, we provide professional and compassionate boarding services for times when you can’t be with your pets. Whether you’re travelling, painting the house, or managing unexpected commitments, you can trust us to care for your four-legged family members in a safe and comfortable environment. We offer both day and overnight boarding, with separate wards for dogs and cats to ensure a comfortable and stress-free stay. While in our care, your pets will be monitored by our experienced team of Vet Nurses and Kennel Hands to ensure they are happy and cared for. Our boarding services include, climate controlled rooms, regular walks around leafy Rosebery and visits to Turruwul Park for dogs. Pets with special dietary, medical, or physical requirements are carefully managed to provide the best possible care. At Rosebery Veterinary Hospital, our goal is to provide a home-away-from-home experience, ensuring your pets receive the same care and attention they’re accustomed to while giving you complete peace of mind. To keep you informed, we maintain a detailed daily log of your pet’s mood, activity, eating, drinking, and toileting, which we are happy to review with you upon collection.

Cat Boarding

We provide the ultimate in cat boarding with hygienic MiaoHaus cat condos. They are not only comfortable but provide everything a cat needs for a stay away from home. If you have multiple cats, neighbouring condos can be opened up to each other.

During your cats stay, they will be provided with everything they need including food, water and bedding. There is no need for you to bring anything unless your cat has special dietary needs, is on medication or has a favourite toy.

Dog Boarding

Our dog boarding and kennel service is second to none. We have a hygienic, fully enclosed dog ward with four runs for larger dogs. These are allocated individually or can be shared by dogs from the same household.

All our doggy guests are kept in a safe and secure environment where they are unable to wander and get lost or injured. At multiple times a day, they are taken for daily walks on leads in the leafy streets of Rosebery and/or to Turruwul Park.

Our boarding services include meals for your pet and ample water to keep them hydrated. If your dog is on a special diet, we encourage you to bring their food for the duration of their stay. Medications will be administered by registered vet nurses to ensure all medical needs are met.

For dogs staying with us for an extended period, we highly recommend scheduling a few visits to our in-house day-care to keep them socially happy and engaged.

To ensure a smooth transition, we encourage dog parents to schedule a complimentary boarding trial for a few hours before the planned stay. This allows us to assess how your pup adjusts to the environment and provides reassurance that they will settle in comfortably, which is especially important for pet parents traveling. During this trial, we can also complete the required skills assessment test for day-care eligibility if desired.

Please note we are unable to provide a Doggy Daycare Skills assessment test on weekends.
